On Friday, Sept. 29 at 2 a.m., police responded to The Madd Hatter at 221 Washington Street and found a man with non-life threatening stab wounds to his buttocks, officers said. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and released after treatment, police said.
Following an investigation, Paneque was identified as the suspect and he turned himself in on Sunday, Oct. 1. Paneque was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.
